Why is GM Bankrupt - how about this?
This piece was originally written in 2005. The perspective I started with was how much I was impressed by John Densmore, drummer for the Doors, because he refused to sell his music - no matter how ridiculously high the offers were. But the day after GM filed for bankruptcy, it is interesting to consider that less than 5 years ago GM was willing to pay 15 Million Dollars for JUST the rights to one song to use for advertising. Why is the company bankrupt? I dunno all the ins and outs, but if they were trying to blow 15 million for the rights to ONE song, then someone had their head up somewhere dark n dreary: This time around I am going to explore the relationship between a rock drummer and a luxury car company.
